Welcome! Wireless networking, sensing, computing and control advances have recently changed the way in which society interacts with the physical world. There is an explicit cyber component that is deeply embedded in the physical-world (human, infrastructure and platforms) to create a tightly coupled system that has the potential to enhance human safety, mission objectives and system efficiency multiple folds. Emerging from such a cyber-physical system (CPS) view of the engineered world is a wide array of new applications in critical infrastructures such as transportation, medical, energy and manufacturing sectors. In the tradition of the Proceedings of the IEEE, we are organizing the first cyber-physical systems special issue which will have both deep technical impact and broad interest to the diverse readership across the IEEE.
Manuscript submission deadline: For any questions about topics and submissions to this special issue, please send email to rp3@uw.edu or radhakrishna.sampigethaya@boeing.com - Radha Poovendran, Chief Editor of the Special Issue
