Aim/Scope/Research Area With the emergence of new technologies in networking, multimedia, and the applications of cryptography to financial payments both intra- and inter-organizational processes are being dramatically redeveloped.

The journal serves as a forum for stimulating and disseminating research into the implications of these technologies for organizational structure and dynamics, the technological advances needed to keep pace with organizational changes, and emerging technological possibilities for improving organizational productivity.

Theoretical, experimental, and survey research are all appropriate. The journal's major editorial focus is on electronic commerce, both in the global economy and with and across organizational divisions.

Topics include coordination technology, digital libraries, distributed computing, EDI, electronic payment systems, information economics, organizational communications, and software agents. It also publishes relevant book reviews, meeting announcements, brief notes, and software reviews.
