AIMS AND SCOPE
Information Sciences is designed to inform researchers, developers, managers, strategic planners, and others interested in state-of-the art research activities in intelligent systems and engineering. Readers are assumed to have a common interest in information science, but with diverse backgrounds in fields such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, library science, cognitive science, brain mapping, and behavioral sciences. The journal publishes high-quality, refereed articles. It emphasizes a balanced coverage of both theory and practice. The journal recognizes three major sections, knowingly: Information Sciences Intelligent Systems, covering the following subjects: Study of information flow, knowledge engineering, decision support systems, computation in complex systems with an emphasis on the appropriate mathematical and quantitative methods.
