UW SPIE Student Chapter

We are a student-run organization at University of Washington dedicated to the promotion of science and technology in optics and photonics. This chapter is one of the SPIE affiliated student groups around the world. The members of the chapter are from different optics or photonics research groups across the campus. Since its inception in 2007, we have provided exciting educational, networking, and community outreach activities. Now, we are hosting a bi-weekly student seminar, which invites graduate students to present their cutting-edge research work in optics or photonics related fields. Anyone interested is encouraged to participate in our seminars!
